Six more days until I leave for New Zealand. I will be in the country from September 1, 2010 until January 11, 2011 studying abroad through the University of New Hampshire EcoQuest program. I still can't believe this is happening.
I remember standing in the kitchen of Hitchcock washing the dishes (a task which takes longer than I'd like to admit) when the phone rang. It was February 12, and the day we all found out we would be going to New Zealand. It seems like ages ago.
Now I am frantically trying to gather all of the things that I need. Hopefully today will be the last trip for things. Saturday my entire family is coming up to send me off. It will be nice to see everyone, and have them all in one place again.
I fly out Monday, August 30th at 6:05 a.m. from Manchester, New Hampshire. After a stop in Cleveland, Ohio, I arrive in Los Angeles around 10:00 a.m. (pacific), then it's off for a great adventure!!!!!
